"This Design Idea mates a precision current source IC with precision difference amp chips to create a programmable current source or sink."

"My system doesn’t require plumbing alterations, and it transmits the information via my home wireless network, so I can view water use on a connected device anywhere in the house. Now when my teenage kids take profligate showers, I can berate them with quantitative measurements!"

"The RTDs are the most expensive, but they also provide best accuracy and best resolution for the measurement. This, however, only if appropriate analogue circuitry will be used. The appropriate analogue circuitry constitutes the subject of this article."

"At the end of this month, I’ll be leaving my current job. I therefore thought it’d be a nice occasion to build a new business card for my future interviews. You may remember the first version of my business card made more than one and a half years ago (time flies!). It was basically made of two PCBs soldered together."

"These are some notes about building a hardware random bit generator. Johnny von Neumann once said that anybody who contemplates arithmetic methods for the generation of random numbers is in a state of sin. What he meant by that is this: if you try to generate random numbers using only software, the results will necessarily depend on the state of your machine at the outset of the process, and are therefore insecure. That is, somebody could conceivably reconstruct your allegedly random bitstream. "

"This reference design is a power management of Xilinx ZedBoard using MMPF0100 Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC). A PMIC is an IC for managing power requirements of the host system and is commonly used in a system-on-chip (SoC) device."

"Is a DIY cat (or dog, or human) feeder controlled over the web (though not over the public Internet for now). There are two different feeding methods: instant feeding with the click of a button, or scheduled feedings (using a command scheduler like cron)."

"AN6877 is linear AF level meter IC produced by Panasonic and it is commonly found on many audio equipment. This chip is no longer manufactured by Panasonic and finding replacement chip for AN6877 is also quiet difficult."
