"OpenDrop is a new design for an open source digital microfludics platform for research purposes. The device uses recent electro-wetting technology to control small droplets of liquids. Potential applications are lab on a chip devices for automating processes of digital biology."

"I built a pick and place machine so I could build up my Motobrain project easier. I used MDF for the platforms. 12mm rail and linear bearings for the Y and Z axis bearings. THK linear motion guide for the X axis. The Z axis is a piece of carbon fiber tubing attached to a piece of laser cut acrylic. The nipples on the tube are 3D printed."

"Ditch the key FOB and use your mobile phone as a passive key to access and authorize your car. There are many challenges with such a system but I believe this development is unavoidable. Whilst my prototype is certainly not the most elegant, it does proof a basic point, which is that dedicated physical car keys are a thing of the past."

"If you’re going to use PICs whether it’s with code written by someone else, or with your own code you’ll need a programmer. There are numerous free hardware designs available and the software to control them. Alternatively you can buy programmers as kits or ready built."

"In about April of 2004 I started this binary clock project which was inspired by the Think Geek binary clock. I put the project on hold a number of times and finally finished it around October of 2004. When I started the project the TG clock was only available with red LEDs, and while it was definitely pretty cool, there were a number of things about it that bothered me."

"This is the robotic arm I built to demonstrate at the Cub Scout meeting a few days ago. It’s main construction material is hardboard — sort of like clipboard material but a little bit more flexible. Ideally it would be built out of aluminum, but hardboard is very fast to shape and drill through, so in the interest of time it was chosen."
