Posted February 14, 2008 by Chris
FPGA & CPLD devices are becoming all the rage for things like prototyping to fast time to market needs. With this ByteBlaster cable you can program Altera & Max2 devices without having to pay the big price tag on altera’s cables.

I have “original version” of this cable (made by Altera) and I must say it’s pain in the *** to use it. I would definitely recommend using some USB JTAG Interface such as http://www.jtagtest.com/viatap which already has ByteBlaster-compatible pinheader and can be used directly to program any PLD devices via SVF files using http://www.jtagtest.com/

Would like to build my own byteblaster but I do not see a link or file that I can use to get the details needed to build one.
Please help.
Thanks!

So, throughout the tutorial you refer to a ByteBlaster MV tutorial, that doesnt seem to exist…
