Given the success thus far of PyroEDU’s first course, An Introduction To Modern Electronics, we are excited to get started on the next course: An Introduction To Digital Electronics. We want to not only continue providing free education about electronics, but also improve the quality and craftsmanship of our content. With this goal in mind, we are seeking your help in acquiring new film and lighting equipment, as well as higher quality electronics parts, to produce better quality videos at a faster rate and offer more experiments and real-world examples in our lessons. We are adamant these lessons be open to the world and free of advertisements so we need your support to fund this project. Your contributions may lead today’s young minds to become tomorrow’s great innovators!

Last week, we released the fourth lesson of the first PyroEDU course: An Introduction To Modern Electronics. This week we’re introducing the third and final basic circuit component: The Inductor.
The third and final component of what is known as the basic types of passive electrical components is called the inductor. In this lesson we take a look at the inductor’s alternative method of storing electrical charge that, while simliar to the capacitor, is done in a magnetic way.

Last week, we released the third lesson of the first PyroEDU course: An Introduction To Modern Electronics. This week we’re introducing the second basic circuit component: The Capacitor. After getting a nice introduction to the resistor, it’s customary to learn about the second most common component in electronics, called the capacitor. This lesson performs some cool experiments and introduces the basic idea of storing electrical charge with capacitors.

Last week, we released the second lesson of the first PyroEDU course: An Introduction To Modern Electronics. This week we’re introducing the first and most basic circuit component: The Resistor. The resistor is the first fundamental component that anyone studies when they start learning about electronics. Ideas like what is an insulator or a conductor are introduced and related to electrical resistance.

Last week, we released the first lesson of the first PyroEDU course: An Introduction To Modern Electronics. This week we’re really getting started with the course content with a lesson on Electricity. This lesson explains what electricity is in plain english, how we describe it mathematically and also how you can see the effect electricity has on the devices you use everyday.

Regular PyroElectro readers probably noticed a new navigation tab was added recently to our website: Learn. For quite some time we’ve been wanting to create a set of organized, entertaining and educating video courses which gave way to PyroEDU. Our first course is An Introduction To Modern Electronics, and the first lesson: The Introduction has just gone live.
