Program the DE2 Board: Conclusion

Schematic Design & Programming the DE2
The process of programming the DE2 may seem quite long however each part is necessary because of the complex nature of FPGAs. The schematic design is a nice intro however the other methods using Verilog and VHDL have many more advantages. The DE2 also has many other features on it that you can use, so we're luckily not limited to flashing leds & moving switches.

What To Do Now
Now that you can program the board you're all set to do all kinds of things. There are tons of peripherals that you can use. LCD, keyboard, mouse, VGA output, sound in & out & beyond. Learning either VHDL or Verilog would help you greatly in the long run for getting these peripherals working.

Conclusion
This tutorial opens up many new doors for anyone using the altera DE2 board. You successfully got a sample program on the board which means you can program any program you'd like onto the board now!
If you have any further questions, I implore you...don't be shy, take a look at the forums or ask a question there. I check them out regularly and love getting comments & questions.
