With the software loaded onto the PIC, let's give things a test to see how well the system works. Again, whenever a number 0->9 is sent from the laptop, the PIC will receive it and tell certain LEDs to light up and then finally repeat the command back to the laptop.
As you saw in the video above, the system works and quite well. I can send commands as fast as I like and the system receives and executes them. Granted this is a simple system, but it still gives a great example of how to interface to Laptops and Desktops.
