Build The Circuit
Now we'll look at building up the circuit for the simple motor optical encoder. Just follow the schematic exactly and you shouldn't have any issues. When you're done your breadboard circuit should probably look something like mine:

·Now we connect to L298 to the motor and wirewrap the IR detector circuit power supply and output to the PIC.
