Wireless XBee Pan/Tilt System

Wireless XBee Pan/Tilt System
This system was built in response to a request from the forums and I hope it answers all the questions asked. The system uses two microcontrollers to successfully transmit and receive commands that control a dual servo motor pan and tilt system that has a camera mounted on top. A single push button could allow the camera to take a photo if we hacked it, but I just left it with turning on a single LED.

What To Do Now
After building a pan and tilt system like this, you pave the way to building an automated motion capture system. Imagine adding some sensors that tell the system when to take video or a picture. Something like a proximity sensor could tell the system to take a picture of an intruder, or a temperature sensor or digital timer could tell the system to take video of the sun rising. Finishing this project leave the door open for the platform to be expanded upon in many different ways. I leave that up to you.

Conclusion
All the goals set forth in the introduction were reached and so I'll call this a successful project. The system is perhaps crude and primitive, but it works and very well. Like any system there are many ways that it can be improved, but the base system design needed to be completed first to create a proof of concept.
