Tupperware Turret Airsoft Gun

An Overview Of The Tupperware Turret Airsoft Gun
This project, the Tupperware Turret, shows you exactly how easy it is to bind together everyday common items to make something cool and potentially useful. This type of a skillset is important for anyone who wants to persue a career as an engineer or scientist because the mindset of building something with only certain available parts demands critical thinking. If this project interests you enough to want to make your own, I suggest going back and looking over the pre-requisite tutorials and projects in the introduction and building up to the point where you can make your own Tupperware Turret.

What To Do Now
As with any project, there are several areas that the Tupperware Turret could be improved. A better hopper to hold more ammunition would be a good start. A better, more reliable and flexible method for controlling the turret wirelessly would also be a very nice addition. Another obvious road you could take is by adding sensors to the system and making an autonmous sentry. The sky is the limit for where you can take this platform and improve upon it.

Conclusion
While this is not a military grade turret, nor do I expect the NSA, DoD or MI6 to contact me to start building these for them, this was a successful project with a concrete ending. The inputs from the TV remote control were understood, decoded and the microcontroller was able to tell the outputs (servo control/fire control) what to do and where to shoot the airsoft bb's. The room for improvement was noted in the conclusion above, and I implore anyone wishing to duplicate this project to ponder over how they could do a better job!
