Music Equalizer Display: Conclusion

An Overview Of The Music Equalizer Display
The LEDs seem to light up along with the main beat of the music. It works best with normal vocal songs that have a single beat or voice in the music. Techno type songs have far too many beats so the LEDs are almost always lit up (sorry for you electronic music lovers out there!). The issue of volume variance is also something that came into play, but we just designed around it!

What To Do Now
Now that you know how the ADC's work on the PIC you can do a lot of other projects. To expand upon this project, you could create bandpass filters to capture the voltage of specific frequency ranges to create a 'true' audio equalizer output instead of one for just the audio signal. That would be quite a difficult project, but you'd learn a lot!

Conclusion
This tutorial was successful but there is much left to be desired and room for improvement. The circuit/system worked well but isn't as entertaining as a true equalizer. It would be a wise & very interesting move to re-do this project with a broader equalizer range. Though, the scope of this project was reached and hopefully you all learned something!
