The video below will give you an up close look at the project as I built it on the breadboard and then it will give a sample demonstration of the colors across the rainbow with seemless transition between colors, just as we saw in the theory section of this article.
Seemless transitions! Aren't they beautiful? Now imagine if you had 5 of these LEDs working together, or maybe 50 or how about 1000? The colors displayed in a rainbow fashion as expected and the LED was definitely bright enough to be seen from very far away.
