The game of breakout was very popular back in the day of arcade machines and here we see how easily it can be duplicated with a single board FPGA. This pair of students used a rotary encoder to send input and tell the breakout paddle which way to move and similar to the Ping Pong game they used VGA output signals to display the game on an LCD monitor.
