However, the limitations do stand out. Not being able to draw a picture larger than 100x50 pixels, or to use more than 1 color seems almost ridiculous in this day and age. But! The Sharpie Dotifier wasn't meant to be cutting edge, rather to show how a robotic arm can be put to intelligent and useful work with some ingenuity.

Moving beyond this project you can use the arm to play games against humans by adding some sensors and different routines through the laptop. Additionally you can add more colored pens for the arm to choose from. On a re-design the sky is the limit of how you can modify this project for automating some task.
