HOMEWORK QUESTION 1
What is a transistor? Why did the transistor lead to the digital revolution?
An electric on off switch, and an amplifier.
This led to the digital revolution by allowing a series of “on” and “off” circuits to be seen to create 0’s and 1’s that could be manipulated.

HOMEWORK QUESTION 2
What is the difference between an NPN and PNP type transistor?
On an NPN, electricity is allowed to flow through the transistor from the collector to the emitter if the base is charged.
On a PNP, electricity is allowed to flow through the transistor from the collector to the emitter if the base is grounded as opposed to charged.

HOMEWORK QUESTION 3
What is the circuit symbol for an NPN BJT transistor?

HOMEWORK QUESTION 4
What are the names of each of the 3 pins of a BJT transistor?
Collector, Base, and Emitter

HOMEWORK QUESTION 1
What is a transistor? Why did the transistor lead to the digital revolution?
An electronic semiconductor device that is made of doped materials, and often used in switching or amplifying applications. It permited more sofisticated circuits in less space, providing the necesary background for the making of modern computers

HOMEWORK QUESTION 2
What is the difference between an NPN and PNP type transistor?
NPN activates when a small current arrives to the base, conversely, PNP is "on" when a small current leaves the base
