I am looking to build a video camera stand that will track a transponder using 2 servos and either rf, gps etc. The biggest trouble I am having is figuring out what kind of signal I can track accurately up to 200 yards away without using triangulation. I simply want to clip the transponder on the target and have the video follow it.
Thanks

Hello,
I can't think of any way to do this without needing to do triangulation. Every other way is far more complex, like tracking via the camera.
I would test out an IR system first and then build more.
