hi Chris.thanks a lot and thanks for all kick starters for this interesting course. and here is my answers for the second lecture:

Q1
1.1(10)+1(10)=2(10)

2.1(2) + 1(2) =10(2)

Q2
1.: 1010(2) + 1000(2)= 10010
2.1010(2) −1000(2)=0010

Q3
1. 1110(2)=0*2^0+1*2^1+1*2^2+1*2^3=14

2. 31/2=15R1
15/2=7R1
7/2=3R1
3/2=1R1
1/2=0R1
so, 31(10)=11111(2)

3.
as its stat either on or off so it can present logic 1 when the led is on and logic 0 when the led is turned off.

Here is my answer for week 2

Q1
1. 1(10) + 1(10) = 2(10)
2. 1(2) + 1(2) = 10(2)

Q2
1. 1010(2) + 1000(2) = 10010(2)
2. 1010(2) + 1000(2) = 0010(2)

Q3
1. Convert 1110(2)= 1*2^3 + 1*2^2 + 1*2^1 + 0*2^0 = 14(10)
2. Convert 31(10) = 11111(2)

31/2 = 15R1
15/2 = 7R1
7/2 = 3R1
3/2 = 1R1
1/2 = 0R1
31(10)= 11111(2)

Q4
The ON state and OFF state of an LED can be used to represent LOGIC 1 and O respectively.
using BCD SYSTEM we can used LED to write BINARY NUMBERS.
