HOMEWORK QUESTION 1
Can you name 4 different types of inductors? Air Coil, Toroidal core, Laminated Core, Ferromagnetic core

HOMEWORK QUESTION 2
How do inductors store electrical charge?
Inductors store an electrical charge through an electromagnetic field.

HOMEWORK QUESTION 3
How do capacitors and inductors store electrical charge differently?
Capacitors store energy in an electricity field, inductors store energy in an electromagnetic field.

HOMEWORK QUESTION 4
What happens to the inductance value of an inductor if you put a piece of iron in the middle of
its coil?
It is increased several thousand fold.

Hi Shawn,

All your answers are correct!

One thing that is really neat about question #4 is that most ferromagnetic cores have a specific 'permeability' value that can be used with some other variables to calculate the inductance value of your (perhaps home-made) inductor. (here are some great examples)
