I saw this tutorial

I would like to build my own hi-current bipolar stepper motor driver. I think if I get proper guidance/instructions, I'll be able to do it.
I have a bipolar stepper motor which I bought back in July. I haven't used it. It's a Nema 17, 12v 0.4A. However, I still would like a driver that will support hi current in case I buy another bipolar stepper motor that is 2A or more in the future.
So I was reading the tutorial from the link above and I was wondering if that will work for my 4 wire bipolar stepper motor.
Or what would you suggest?
