regarding to the simple optical encoder.. can u show me the output waveform of the optical encoder?? and if i wan to make a mechanical encoder instead of the optical encoder, how do i make it? make a wheel with track using the PCB board??

Hopefully this isn't coming to you too late.

I don't have the optical encoder built anymore but it's just a PWM output from the optical sensor. A mechnical encoder would need some type of mechanical switch. Not really sure what you're after there.

I don't have it on hand, I'll try to put it onto the software page of the write-up. I am worried that if you can't get the C code compiled, the project may not work correctly for you in the end.
