Re: #6 Binary Timer [Post Homework Here]

Hi Chris Here is my homework "made in Sweden" :-) HOMEWORK QUESTION 1 What is the difference between the 74HC193 timer/counter module and the one we designed for a CPLD? 1: The 74HC193 has a /LOAD (Parallel load enable) , ours does not. 2: The 74HC193 has a CK_UP and a CK_DWN pin, ours on...

Re: FPGA's & HDMI/HD-SDI

I have been following this class from day1 and love it... Learning alot, bought the kit, and love seeing how easy it is (or how easy it looks)... I work in broadcast television and am trying to learn and see if it could eventually be possible with the FPGA i currently have to do either of the follo...

Is there a PDF of the schematics? I can't read them on my laptop.

Alternatively, you could try to switch to a higher resolution in youtube then full screen the video.

The PDF mentioned above is probably more convenient.

Re: 27MHz 555IC Simple Transmitter & Receiver

Also previously i built this transmitter on a breadboard and found out the same problem and interestingly even if i removed the 27MHz crystal from the transmitter i get the same signal until i remove power from the 555IC. Hi. You can't build this on a breadboard it won't work. You need to use proto...

Lesson5-1 The thought here in CLOCK_10HZ , was to make 0 .. (50Mhz/10)/2 a low , and (50Mhz/10)/2 to (50Mhz/10) a high But it blinks slower than the 5hz , my scope says approx 334 ms. if rising_edge(clk) then if ticks<=((osc_freq/10)/2)-1 then hz_10 <= '0'; ticks:=ticks+1; elsif ticks >= ((osc_freq...

Re: The advanced stuff

Just saw this one https://github.com/Guzunty/Pi/wiki Src https://github.com/Guzunty/Pi Lot of inspiration , and i even understand some of it :) :) I gotta do some RasPI IO with one of the cpld's /Bingo Yes, that's actually a very common use of CPLDs as I/O expanders. By connecting serially to a pro...

Hi Chris Here is my homework HOMEWORK QUESTION 1 What is the difference between combinatorial logic and procedural logic? Combinatorial logic always runs. Procedural logic runs when a signal on the sensitivity list changes. HOMEWORK QUESTION 2 What is the purpose of using a ‘sensitivity list’ in a ...

Hi pyroelectro! Are you still wisiting this site? Could you help me with fixing my cube? I build it using your instructable, but using idea for connecting pin10 and pin20 with capacitor. As power supply used 5v charger connected stright to power bus. / When powering on the cube lights up just 1st l...

Re: #4 Combinatorial Logic [Post Homework Here]

With logic personally I tend to separate the levels out vertically and attack it input to output. But you can surely use this method from either side to build up the combinatorial logic statement. So the order doesn't matter : as in y <= d NAND ((NOT c) or (a AND b)); and y <= ((NOT c) or (a AND b)...

Hello, I've been trying to compile the code for the PIC18F4550 but I'm having trouble with some errors. I'm using MPLAB v8.92. When I try to compile using CCS C Compiler, following error appears: *** Error 128 "C: \ Users \ Daniel \ Desktop \ keyboard \ p18f4550.h" Line 10 (1,2): A # DEVI...
